This external fan kit is designed for easy installation and is designed to enhance airflow through the Victron MultiPlus-II Inverter/Charger, helping to maintain optimal operating temperatures. Effective cooling is essential, as the unit’s power output is automatically reduced at higher internal temperatures to prevent overheating. The kit integrates with one of MultiPlus-II’s internal relays, allowing the external fan to operate automatically in sync with the internal fan’s activity.

It is also important to note that the Victron MultiPlus-II is designed for vertical installation, allowing cool air to enter from the bottom and hot air to exit through the top. When installing in tight spaces it may be necessary to install the unit horizontally, laying on its back. However, this orientation can disrupt the intended airflow and reduce cooling efficiency. Installing an external fan can help compensate for this limitation by improving airflow.
